SentriLock Lockbox System Selected by RealTracs Solutions

The board of directors of RealTracs Solutions unanimously voted to make SentriLock the official lockbox system of the MLS. SentriLock will become the exclusive lockbox solution in Middle Tennessee in March 2009, when the current contract with Supra expires. Conversion of existing Supra customers to the SentriLock system will begin in February 2009.
The National Association of REALTORS® owns a majority interest in SentriLock LLC, and the lockbox is often referred to as the REALTORS®’ lockbox. While an electronic keybox system’s core function is relatively simple – obtain a key to the property and be able to track who enters the premises – SentriLock includes features most requested by REALTORS®, including:
- A convenient credit card-sized electronic “key” (called the SentriCard)
- An extra large front opening key compartment
- An integrated and illuminated keypad
- A homeowner “do not disturb” feature
- Call before showing codes
- Variable showing hours
- A web interface for all lockbox functions and tracking
SentriLock has excellent customer service and a real commitment to the industry. Most important, the board of directors felt that unity in the market is critical. The decision for SentriLock means there will be equal access to properties throughout the mid-state area!
What do you need to do now? Nothing (except sell real estate). We are making this announcement early so everyone knows what to expect early next year. Okay, here are two things you can do now:
- Make sure your email address is correct in the RealTracs system, because all communication about the conversion will be sent via email.
- Find all your Supra lockboxes and make sure YOU are the owner.
- Login to your Supra account and view the serial numbers of the locks in your possession
- If you own a lock and the serial number does not show up in your account, contact Supra or RealTracs to determine who is listed as the current owner.
- Complete a Transfer of Ownership (pdf) form and have it signed by the authorized owner and fax the form to RealTracs

Everyone will receive detailed information about the conversion as we draw closer to the date, but here is a quick look at some details:
Annual Lease Fee
The annual lease fee for a SentriCard will be $120.00.
Supra-only keyholders
Return your dKey and cradle or your eKey equipment.
Sign a new lease agreement for a SentriCard.
Attend a short training session. (Dates/location to be announced closer to the conversion.)
Swap iBoxes (blue) one-for-one for SentriLock boxes.
Swap AEIIs (grey) three-for-one for SentriLock boxes.
Supra keyholders AND SentriCard users (for those in both worlds)
Return your dKey and equipment or your eKey equipment.
Return your SentriCard (except agents with the Clarksville Association).
Sign a new lease agreement for a RealTracs SentriCard.
Swap iBoxes (blue) one-for-one for SentriLock boxes.
Swap AEIIs (grey) three-for-one for SentriLock boxes.
SentriCard-only users
Return your SentriCard (except agents with the Clarksville Association).
Sign a new lease agreement for a RealTracs SentriCard.
Swap iBoxes (blue) one-for-one for SentriLock boxes (if you still have them).
Swap AEIIs (grey) three-for-one for SentriLock boxes (if you still have them).
Please Note: As part of the negotiations with SentriLock, current SentriLock boxes will be covered under the RealTracs warranty, extending through the six-year term of the contract. Agents with existing SentriLock boxes can rest easy! We’ve got you covered.
Another Note: AEIIs have not been manufactured or sold as new boxes for over six years. AEIIs range in age from 7 to 14 years, which is the reason for the 3-for-1 swap.
